Frederick G. Richart, Jr. 60 of Demotte, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. He was born June 19, 1952 in Madison, WI. the son of Frederick G. and June (Bowell) Richart, Sr. Fred was a retired Valparaiso Police Detective and a Narcotic coordinator. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Valparaiso FOP, the American Legion and the Grace Fellowship Church in Demotte. Surviving is his daughter, Darcy (Dan) Fritts of Demotte, his mother June Richart of Sebring, FL, 3 grandchildren, Colin, Ethan and Aiden Fritts and his siblings, Cathie Beasley, Bruce Richart, Christine Bennett and John Richart, I. His father Frederick G. “Fritz” Richart preceded him in death. Fred enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. Valparaiso, Pastor Timothy Hester officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Saturday, 10 AM to 12 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home.
