Mildred E. “Dodo” Hutchison, 97 of Portage, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. She was born January 21, 1916 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Oscar and Elsie (Edwards) Johnson. Mildred was a homemaker, a member of Deep River Church, the Merrillville Historical Society, the Organic gardeners and other organizations. Surviving are her twin sisters, Virginia (Fred) DeBruzzi of Valparaiso and Janet (Bob) Johnson of Chesterton, her special niece Vivian Breen and many other nieces and nephews. Her husband John, her parents, sisters, Helen, Lois, Dorothy and Ruth and her brother Clyde preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso, Pastor Craig Forwalter officiating. Burial in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Thursday, 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
