John M. Bisacky, 83 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017. John was born to the late John and Anna Bisacky, November 13, 1933 in Pricedale, PA. He married Cleo Carole Ellis in 1958 in Charleroi, PA. together they have celebrated 59 years of marriage. They moved to Valparaiso, IN., where they have resided for the last 57 years. John is survived by his wife, Cleo and three children, Diane (Carl) Groves of Chesterton, IN, Michelle (Steven) Scheff of Chillicothe, IL and John (Mari) Bisacky, Jr. of Yokohama, Japan. Daughter Kimberly preceded his death in 1984, along with 2 sisters and a brother. John is survived by four grandchildren, Jasmine Bisacky, Jordan Brown, Kyle Groves and Justin Bisacky., and special loved ones the Saucedo family. He was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Midwest Steel where he was an employee for 30 years, retiring in 1992. John was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. John had a passion for gardening, yard care, playing cards and woodworking. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, golf and as a youth football. John loved to watch the Bears, the Cubs, the Bulls, golf and wrestling. He also enjoyed reading and telling his story to whoever listened. He also had a love for the Franciscans of Sacred Heart, (the retired priests) and made sure when someone was in need, he prayed for them. Visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2017, 10 AM-11 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd, Valparaiso with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to VNA Hospice Center, 2401 Valley Dr, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
