John D. Taylor 80, of Valparaiso went to be with his Lord and Savior July 18, 2017. John was born October 5, 1936 in Cherokee Qualls, Oklahoma to Theodore Otto Taylor and Annie (Harlan) Taylor. John had 9 brothers and sisters. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. John was a retired drywall finisher for over 40 years and a member of the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Surviving is Louise Taylor, sons John Mark (Jodi) Taylor of Wanatah, Michael (Sherry) Taylor and Matthew (Anne) Taylor of Valparaiso, brother Joel Taylor, of Valparaiso, sisters Virginia Fletcher of Denton, TX., Bonnie Taylor and Annabelle O’Dell of Springfield, MO. and eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017, 10 AM until time of Funeral Services at 12:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso, Ken Spangler officiating.
