Nancy L. Burge, 83 of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. She was born December 5, 1933 in Gary, the daughter of Robert and Charlotte (Roper) McLinn. Nancy was a 1952 Wheeler High School Graduate and a former member of the Indiana Women’s Bowling League. On May 29, 1952 in Hobart, she married James R. Burge, who preceded her in death, November 4, 2014. Surviving are her children: Kelly (Gina O’Brien)Burge of Valparaiso, Shelley Soderholm of Orchard Park, NY and James A. (Sara) Burge of Porter, five grandchildren; Mark, Andrea, Taylor, Elliott and Stephanie and four brothers: Errol McLinn of Valparaiso, Jim (Phyllis) McLinn of Florida, George McLinn of North Carolina and Charles McLinn of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Friday, 3-7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Funeral Services will be Saturday, 10:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Pastor Tim Knauff officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Memorial Donations may be made to Goshen Center for Cancer Care/ “Care House”.
