Ramon House, 78, of Westville, passed away on December 31, 2017, in Valparaiso.  He was born on September 29, 1939, in Franklin Park, Illinois, to Virgil and Margaret (Ebner) House, who both preceded him in death. 

On April 11, 1998, in Westville, he married Carol Daley, who survives. 

Ramon worked as a truck driver for Mid-West Steel for 31 years before he retired.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge.  Ramon enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family, and taking pontoon boat rides. 

He is survived by his children; Debra J. Haddock of Valparaiso, Kenneth (Cara-Lee) House of Westville, David (Kim) Daley of Chesterton, and Kathleen Pundrich of Hobart, siblings Arlene Orlandi of Illinois, Janet (Ed) Poortinga of Chesterton, and David House of Valparaiso, and preceded in death by Loren House.   He is also survived by his six grandchildren Jason Haddock, Kevin Baum, Seaghan House, Rhiana House, Kole Pundrich, and Joshua Daley, and great-grandchildren Samuel J. Haddock and Alan M. Morton, uncle Richard “Dick” Ebner, god-daughter Jill,  and many loving  nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2017, from 2:00 – 6:00 PM, at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso.  A funeral service will follow directly after the visitation at 6:00 PM.
