Robert H. Britton, 89 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. He was born July 31, 1927 in Hamlet, Indiana the son of Harry G. and Rose (Thomas) Britton, who preceded him in death. Robert was a US Army Veteran, a supervisor at McGill Manufacturing for 38 years and was a member of the 30 year Club at McGill’s and the N.R.A. On June 28, 1947 he married Zethel M. Roy, who preceded him in death September 15, 2003. Surviving are his children, Linda (Richard) Finley of Valparaiso, Lorraine (Eugene) Vocke of Kouts and Robert D. (Cindy) Britton of Clinton, TN, 5 grandchildren, Tammy Finley, Christina (Jarrett) Gulbrandsen, Robert C. (Kimberly) Britton, Michael (Jackie) Vocke, Tonya (fiancée Jon Anderson) Britton, 8 great grandchildren, Steven Finley, Liam, Ezra and Delilah Gulbrandsen, Colton and Levi Vocke, Reese Britton and Adrian Anderson and a brother Gerald (Emma Jo) Britton of Swartz Creek, MI. Robert loved woodworking and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017, 3-7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Pastor Mike Eddy officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso.
