Virgil Wray, 83 of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born December 21, 1933 in Valparaiso, the son of Austin and Esther (Jahnz) Wray. Virgil was a US Army Veteran and an owner of a lawn service company. He was a member of the Porter Horseshoe Club and Crossroads Garden Club. On July 7, 1956 in Wanatah, he married Irene Schultz, who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving is his son, Terry (Donna) Wray of Valparaiso, 2 grandchildren, Scott (Steff) and Diana, 3 great grandchildren and a brother Carl Wray of Valparaiso. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Marvin. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017, 12-4 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
