Ann M. (Knipp) Rinchak

Ann M. Rinchak, 85 of Valparaiso, formerly of Westville, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was born August 31, 1932 in Gary, the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Furrier) Knipp. Ann was a Correctional Officer with the Westville Correctional Center and was the owner and operator of Ann’s Interior Decorating Service in Valparaiso. On January 27, 1951 in Gary, she married Albert Rinchak, who preceded her in death, August 26, 1967. Surviving are her sons, Anthony Rinchak of Valparaiso, Albert David Rinchak of Crown Point and Michael (Ruth) Rinchak of Chesterton, daughter, Kathleen Nielsen of Westville, 4 grandchildren, Anna Rinchak, Michael (Mercedes) Rinchak, Catherine Rinchak and Rebecca Rinchak and 2 step granddaughters, Bonnie and Laurie and a step great granddaughter Rayleigh. Also surviving are her sisters, Theresa DiFatta and Harriet (Robert) Hill of Gary and Shirley (Michael) Corey of Valparaiso. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Andrew Knipp and daughter-in-law Linda. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Monday, 9:00 AM until time of Services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Portage following the service.
