Bobby Dean Brown

Bobby Dean Brown, 64 of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019. He as born September 2, 1955 in Pineville, Kentucky to Murphy Denver and Anna Mae (Smarr) Brown. On July 20, 1974 he married Carol Phillips who survives. Also surviving are his children Matthew Dean Brown of Canton, Ohio, Bobbi-Jo Elizabeth Brown of Hustonville, Kentucky, Andrew Charles Brown of Valparaiso, Julie Anne Brown (Hodge) and Steven Preston Hodge his son-in-law of Valparaiso, two grandchildren Eric Steven Hodge age 11 and Violet Elizabeth Hodge age 8; and his brothers Ted Denver Brown of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Allen Wayne Brown of Murphy, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bobby was a master mechanic and fabricator. He retired from Laurel Termite in 2011 and was the former fire chief for the Williamsburg Kentucky Fire Department. Bobby was a trustee at Fellowship Baptist Church in Westville where he was a member. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 29th at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. in Valparaiso. Pastor Jeff Hawkins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Valparaiso. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.
