Christine Wilgus, 62 of Wanatah, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. She was born July 3, 1954 in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of James and Mary (Parsons) Myers. Chris was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Valparaiso, where she worked in Sunday School and Kings Kids. She also was a member of Michiana Clowns. On December2, 1972 she married David D. Wilgus, who survives in Wanatah. Also surviving are her children David J. (Janis) Wilgus of Wanatah, Amy McClure of Florida and Rusty S. Wilgus of Michigan, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Her surviving sisters are Patty Montie , Susan Shaw, Jeanna Marie Everest, Dorothy Rochester, DeDe Lin all of Florida,  Hope Carr of Delaware and Rebecca George of Georgia and her brother Troy Flattery of Florida.

Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2017 3-7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Valley Baptist Church, 255 Rigg Rd. Valparaiso, Pastor Denny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.  Memorial Donations may be made to Valley Baptist Church.
