Cora Charlene Blunk

Charlene , 78 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, November5, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 14, 1941 in Valparaiso to Walter and Violet (Pierce) Breeding, who along with her step father Harper Norris procede her in death. Charlene is surivived by her husband Joe Blunk, children Debra (Terry) Hines Sr, Kelli Stowers, J (Fiancé Banesa Chavez) Blunk, Grandchildren, Dale (Stephanie) Porch, Jr, Eric (Amanda) Porch, Shanna Hines, Terry Hines, Jr, Serena (Fiancé Curtis) Blunk, Kaylene (Lucus) Carrion, Ariel Blunk and Jillian Blunk, Great Grandchildren, Cora (Renee) Weber, Ronnie Ewer, Mason Porch, Easton Porch, Kaiden Porch and Jameson Porch, Great Great Grandson Henry Dominion and Son-in-law Dale Porch, Sr. Proceded in death by her first husband Charles Stowers, Jr, Daughter Evyonne Stowers Porch and Great Grandson Christian Porch. In 1987 Charlene graduated from Purdue with a degree in Nursing. She worked on 1 West at Porter Memorial Hospital from 1987-2000. She loved being a nurse. In 2000 she retired due to health reasons. In her retirement she enjoyed her part time job at the Smoke Shop on Lincolnway in Valparaiso. She also enjoyed vacationing with her daughters, reading, her family and puzzle books. Charlene will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Memorials may be given to the family. Visitation on Friday Nov. 8, from 11-1 with service starting at 1:00 pm at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso.
