Doris Michael Obituary
Doris May Michael, 100, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her home. She was born October 24, 1917 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of Grant and Jessie (Silkworth) Blackman. On August 8, 1937 in Gary, she married Wayne Michael, who preceded her in death October 21, 2010. Doris worked at J.C. Penny in Gary and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving is her nephew Don Lipke of Hobart and friends and shirt tail relations Bob and Lynette Bowling of Kentucky. Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Pastor Mike Eddy officiating.
