James Leon Rigg

James Leon Rigg, 74 of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born January 20, 1944 in Valparaiso, the son of Leon George and Mildred (Dilley) Rigg. James was a retired truck driver and he managed a trucking company. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years.  Surviving is his wife Linda (Schultz) Howard, sons, Gary (Sharon) Rigg of Valparaiso and Mark (Debbie) Rigg of Hebron, grandchildren, Tim and Megan Rigg stepchildren, Bernard Howard of Michigan City and Hilary Howard of Plant City, Florida, step-grandson, Charles Howard and great granddaughter Ember Rigg. Also surviving is his brother Thomas Rigg of Valparaiso and a sister Judy Mathias of Park Forest, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Wallace J. Rigg.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, Valparaiso. Larry Owen will officiate. Entombment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Morgan Township Volunteer Fire Association. Bartholomew Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
