Lawrence Evans Obituary

Lawrence Carl Evans, 90 of Westville, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at home. He was born August 25, 1928 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Prince Albert and Gertie (Duncan) Evans. On June 22, 1951 he married Flora Siler who passed away August 5, 2014. Lawrence is survived by his children Lynda Evans Purser of Ohio, Dennis (Christine) Evans of Valparaiso, Dave and Kenneth Evans of Westville, Janet Evans (Roberts) of Kentucky, 10 grandchildren, his brother Estel and his sisters Christine Reed and Norma Clay. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Glen, Earl, J.C., Clyde and Bobby. He was retired from U.S. Steel. A private visitation will be held. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. in Valparaiso is in charge of arrangements.
