Mary Rose Nigrelli, 93 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017. She was born November 13, 1924 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Jim and Mary (Fiacable) Mingilino. Mary was a retiree of US Sheet and Tin Gary Works. Mary was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and formerly of St. Mark Catholic Church in Gary. On November 29, 1953 she married Alfonso Francis “Frank” Nigrelli, who preceded her in death December 10, 1977. Surviving is her daughter Terri A. Wieczorek, granddaughter Marisa Rose Nigrelli-German 2 sisters, Carmella Phyllice of Des Moines, Iowa and Jean Pozniak of Merrillville, IN and an abundance of nieces and nephews and friends.. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Peter. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 22, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd, Valparaiso, Rev. Michael Hoffman officiating. Entombment will be in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Visitation will be Thursday, 4-7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. Valparaiso and Friday, 10 AM until time of services at the church.
