Marilee LePell (Shinabargar) passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 85. Lee, as she preferred to be known, was born in Valparaiso, Indiana to Arthur and Allegra Shinabargar on January 21, 1932.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Shinabargar, a son, John Anthony LePell, and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ridge.  She is survived by her daughters:   Catherine (James) Day of South Bend, Indiana, Victoria (Carl D. (C.D.) Somers of Valparaiso, Indiana, Constance LePell of Houston, Texas and Rebecca (late Daniel) Ridge of Valparaiso, Indiana, 6 grandchildren: Parker Curtis of Bloomington, Indiana, Jacob Day of South Bend, Indiana, Erica (David) Kettle of South Bend, Indiana, Emily (Jason) Morris of Cromwell, Indiana, MM3 Randall (Jessica) Ridge of Jacksonville, Florida and Samuel Ridge of Valparaiso, Indiana and 7 great-granddaughters. Lee will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.  No funeral services will be conducted, but a memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Bartholomew-Newhard Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. Valparaiso, Indian.
