Robert J. "Joey" Palek

Robert J. “Joey” Palek, 47 of Crown Point, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019. He was born November 13, 1971 in Winfield, Illinois, the son of Robert Lewis Palek and Helen (Elder) Popover. Joey was a plumber and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving is his mother, Helen Popover of Crown Point, longtime companion, Kim Shepard, sister, Rae Humphrey of Knox, his cat Bre, nieces, Elana Neibergall of Indianapolis, Melanie Greer of Knox, Cassie Humphrey of AZ, and Julia Dickson of Knox, great niece Kayla Reading and great nephews, Xavier Greer, Skyler Greer, Oliver Mies, Jayden Redden and Kaiden Redden. Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2019, 10 AM to 11 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. Valparaiso. Funeral Services to follow Friday at 11:00 AM with Heath Hiatt officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
