Thomas Earl Isaacs, 80 of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso. He was born February 26, 1937 in Gary, Indiana the son of Marion and Olive (Leonard) Isaacs. Tom was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a plumber-pipefitter, a member of Local #210. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited. On August 1, 1959, he married Sharon Hanrahan. They were married 50 years when she passed away December 13, 2009. Surviving are his 2 sons, Craig (Mary) Isaacs of Valparaiso and Scott (Karen) Isaacs of Toms River, N.J., a sister Barbara Tull of Florida and his brother-in-law Larry Wesley of Porter, IN. He was also the proud grandfather of Oliver, Emily and Matthew. His parents and a sister, Phyllis Wesley also preceded him in death. He was a Hot Rod Enthusiast and loved hunting and fishing. An avid duck hunter, he, made yearly trips to Kansas. He also enjoyed gambling, taking cruises and loved his garden, sharing his produce with everyone. Visitation will be held Friday, October 27, 2017, 4-8 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kimball Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ducks Unlimited in Tom’s name.
