Wayne D. Rice

Wayne Delbert Rice, 86, of Valparaiso, passed away on October 5, 2019, in Fort Wayne. He was born on June 17, 1933, in Valparaiso, to Simeon and Berniece Rice. Wayne worked for over 40 years as a beer salesman for several businesses. He also served his country in the Army during the Korean War in Germany as part of the Big Red One.

He is survived by his two sons Wayne David Rice ( Brandy Phelps) and Daniel (Starr) Rice, both of Valparaiso. He is also survived by his grandchildren Simeon F. Rice and Ayla L. Rice. Visitation for Wayne will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Bartholomew Funeral Home from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
