William M. Wright, 83, of Valparaiso, passed away on September 30, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born on December 22, 1933, in Houckville, Kentucky, to Albert Wayne and Thelma (Sturgell) Wright, who both preceded him in death.  On March 11, 1955, in DeMotte, he married Joanna Bell.  Bill worked as a machinist at U.S. Steel for many years, but was also very proud of his partnership with his brother Larry managing a duplex.  He was an executive officer at UCT and was a member of Grace Point Church in Valparaiso. Bill was a kind, sweet man who was loved and will be missed by his friends and family.  He is survived by; his wife Joan, children Pat (Chuck) Glissman of Valparaiso,  Randy Wright of Chesterton, Mark (Connie) Wright of Valparaiso, and Tom (Julie) Wright of Valparaiso.  He is also survived by his brother Larry Wright, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rudolph Wright, and sister Betty Jo Keaton.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home.  A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Bartholomew Funeral Home.  Internment will be at Graceland Cemetery.  To see more information or sign an online guestbook, www.bartholomewnewhard.com
