Cecil Hartwig Obituary

Cecil B. Hartwig, 84, of Valparaiso, passed away on May 31, 2020, in Bremen, Indiana. He was born on July 9, 1935, on the family farm, to Charles and Caroline (Selby) Hartwig. Cecil worked as machinist at Inland Steel for many years before he retired and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed farming and taking care of his exotic birds. He is survived by his children, Troy Hartwig of Valparaiso, Craig, Hartwig of California, and Scott Hartwig of West Lafayette. Cecil is also survived by siblings Avis Burge, Charles Hartwig, Roy Hartwig, and 3 grandchildren. Per Cecil’s wishes he will be cremated and no services will be held. Bartholomew Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
