Charles D. "Chuck" Denison

Charles David “Chuck” Denison, 62, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after battling cancer for over a year on May 10, 2021. He leaves behind his wife, Sandra (Rittel) Denison of 21 years, daughter Stacy Biggs, and son Daniel (Michelle Peterson) Biggs, and 5 grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Denison, and two Sisters, Jeanne Moser and Rebecca Hickey, father-in-law Vivian Rittel, three brothers-in-law, Tom (Dana) Rittel, Ed (Barb) Rittel, and Clyde (Stacey) Rittel, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Denison, brothers Carl Steven Denison and John Denison, sisters Mary Denison and Patricia Denison, and mother-in-law Betty (Wallace) Rittel. Chuck was born September 25, 1958 in Elkhart, Indiana. He graduated from Westville High School in 1976. He worked at Union Electric Steel Corporation for 42 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved to play golf. He was a nature lover and filled his yard with places for birds and other wildlife to live, visit and enjoy. A visitation for Chuck will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 2:00 – 6:00 PM, at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso with the funeral service to immediately follow. Dave Dieringer will officiate.
