Obituary

Charlotte Heath-Bailey (Clemens) 91 of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away on July 4, 2023. Charlotte was born on May 5, 1932 in Gary, Indiana to Robert Knight and Bertha (Funkhouser) Clemens, who proceded her in death. She was a graduate of East Gary Edison High School in 1950. On June 20, 1959 she married Harry Heath Sr., who proceded her in death on December 12, 1994. On November 25, 1997, she married John Bailey of Lowell, who proceded her in death on December 11, 2007. Charlotte was an accounting clerk in the payroll department at United States Steel Mill from 1953-1959. She worked part time at various jobs while raising her 2 children. Charlotte was a member of Washington Evangelical Free Church. Charlotte was a champion of Ping Pong at Banta Senior Center. She will be remembered as the Grandma that preached her faith to everyone around her. She prayed to God every night to take her Home. Every morning she woke up and said today is not my day. July 4, 2023 God answered her continues prayer and finally took her Home with wide open arms to Heaven. She loved to be with people, made people laugh, loved to be center of attention at family parties. She went to every school and sporting event for everyone in her family, she loved dominos, Phase 10 and Skipo card games. She had a very dear friend Margie Howard that meant the world to her. We cannot count how many games they played together every week. Surviving are her children Harry T. Heath of Lake Station, Indiana, Charlene Buibish of Morgan Township, grandchildren Brandon Heath of Miller, Indiana, Jessica (Donny Guerrero) Buibish of Morgan Township and Kristin (Borden) Smith of Valparaiso ad her sister Roberta Ingram of LaPorte, Indiana. She was proceded in death was grandson Robert Heath of Lake Station, son-in-law Steve Buibish, her brother Charles (Burr) Clemens. Great grandchildren are Jase and Karlee Dallas and Wyatt Guerrero. Her final wish on Earth is that everyone she knows (family and friends) will accept Gods Salvation so she will see you again in Heaven. Per Charlotte’s request, there will be a Private Graveside Funeral Service only
