Diane D (Hall) Carpenter

Diane D. Carpenter, 74, of Valparaiso, passed away on February 4, 2022, in Chesterton. She was born on October 27, 1947, in Galesburg, IL., to Delvin and Evelyn (Herrick) Hall Sr.. On September 23, 1967 she married Jeffrey E. Carpenter who preceded her in death. Diane had many activities that she enjoyed, such as cooking, baking, word puzzles and gardening. Diane is survived by her daughters Nicole (Juha) Lehtinen of North Carolina, Neilly (Rick) Berger of Illinois, and Danielle (James) Krolikowski of Valparaiso; and six grandchildren Jordan Amro (Zakeriah) and Tyler Berger, Olivia and Aleksi Lehtinen and Mitchell and Mason Krolikowski. She is also survived by her siblings, Delvin Hall II, Larry Hall Sr., Jacqueline Rajski, Charles Hall, Bradley Hall, John Hall, Rebecca Motley, Edith Biller, Christopher Hall, and Karl Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bonita McElwain , and brother Michael Hall. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Father Chris Stanish officiating. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Dunes Hospice.
