Dorothy D. Drummond

Dorothy D. Drummond, 93 of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was born October 21, 1929 in Buhl, Alabama to William and Gertrude (Strickland) Barron.  On May 20, 1948, she married Curtis E. Drummond who passed away November 9, 2022. Dorothy is survived by her children Curt (Mary) Drummond, Jr. of Yuma, Arizona, Patti (Chuck)Walters of Valparaiso, and Kay (Tim) Olson of Valparaiso; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Nick Walters, two sisters and one brother. Dorothy worked formerly in the coffee shop at Porter Memorial Hospital many years ago. She was an avid gardener and loved spending quality time with her family. Private family services for Dorothy are being held and entombment is taking place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Bartholomew Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
