Edith Esteen (Ford) Saulsgiver

Edith Esteen Saulsgiver, 84 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019. She was born June 2, 1935 in Nortonville, Kentucky, the daughter of Luther and Eugenia (Teague) Ford. Edith was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist in Portage. On August 22, 1992 in LA, she married Chuck Saulsgiver, who preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, James Russell Whitmer of Chesterton, Norman (Mary) Whitmer of Chesterton, Cecil Whitmer of Wheatfield, Dwight Whitmer of Valparaiso and Elizabeth (Andy) Rossi of Hobart, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a brother Glen (Danita) Ford of Valparaiso. She was also preceded in death by her son Mark Whitmer, her parents, brother, James Ford and sister, Mildred Ann Ford. Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2019, 10 AM to 12 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, 12:00 PM at Bartholomew’s, Pastor Don Good officiating. Burial in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
