George T. Sewell

George T. Sewell, 94 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020. He was born April 20, 1926 in Gary, the son of John and Agnes (Niescur) Sulewski. George was a WWII US Navy Veteran and a product control engineer with US Steel for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avilla Catholic Catholic Church and was active with St. Vincent DePaul for over 30 years. George is survived by his son Mark (Beth) Sewell, daughter Susan (Kevin Creelman) Sewell, grandchildren, Zachary and Elias Sewell and Bryan and Danny Creelman. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Gaydos Sewell, his parents, sisters Jane Sulewski and Estelle Laskowski and brother Ed Sulewski. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willow creek Road, Portage, Rev. Kevin McCarthy officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Teresa Café Manna.
