Jeanene Louise (Nadaf) Azar

Jeanene Louise Azar, 85 of Valparaiso, IN. passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 with her family at her side. She was born June 21, 1938 in Michigan City, Indiana the daughter of Mahana and Sarah (Abood) Nadaf. Jeanene was a Registered Nurse who worked from 1958 to 1968. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso, IN. She was in the choir and the Altar & Rosary Society at St. Paul Catholic Church and Birthright of Valparaiso.  On October 6, 1962 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Michigan City, IN, she married George A. Azar, who survives in Valparaiso, IN. Also surviving are her children, Nicole (Douglas Mazurek) Azar and George (Marcelle) Azar all of Valparaiso, IN and Michael (Amy Wang) Azar of San Jose, Ca., six grandchildren, Daniel Azar, Emma Mazurek, Patrick Azar, Kayla Azar, George A. Azar and Michael B. Azar and sisters, Anna Marie Zaknoen of San Diego, CA., Helen Hathoot of Michigan City, IN and Selma Azar of Schaumberg, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers George and Michael Nadaf and sister Margaret Espar. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 3 to 7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. Valparaiso, IN.  A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd. Valparaiso, IN. Burial will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN.
