John William Tudor, 76 of Valparaiso, Indiana died peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 surrounded by family at his home. Surviving is his wife Suzanna Wolfe Tudor, children Shelley (Arthur) Craig of Delaware, OH, Cari (Jason Gladdis) Tudor, Jay William Tudor and Joshua David (Robin) Tudor all of Valparaiso, 7 grandchildren, Peter, Jake, Chloe, Sydni, Connor, Phoebe and Henry, 3 sisters, Rosalie (late Jim) Monroe and Elizabeth (late Bob) Daniel of Valparaiso and Pamela Williams of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Elmo and Ruth Lee (Mitchell) Tudor and brother Robert Tudor. John, a life-long resident of Valparaiso and '64 VHS grad, worked as a carpenter and steelworker prior to his retirement. He met his wife of 55 years, Suzanna, at the South Bend College of Commerce where he attained an associate's degree in accounting. Adept at most trades, construction projects for family and friends occupied his time during retirement, along with fishing in Northern Michigan at the family cottage. John was a spiritual man who put the Lord and needs of others before his own. He enjoyed watching his loveable loser Cubs. John loved his family and will be fondly remembered by his stories and humor. Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, 10 am to 11:30 am with Funeral Services at 11:30 am at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. Valparaiso, Indiana. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
