Judith (Judy) Morgan, born on September 18,1940 in Hemlock, Indiana, passed peacefully from this life to be with the Lord on December 4, 2023 in Chesterton, Indiana, Judy was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother whose life left a profound impact, and her memory will remain deep in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a woman full of love and kind-heartedness.
Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bryce Morgan, whom she married in 1961. She was a devoted wife and together they embarked on numerous adventures in retirement, adopting New England and Florida as their cherished vacation spots in their motorhome.Their shared experiences enriched their lives and nurtured a loving relationship that will remain an inspiration to those who knew them.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings Loevern, Sonny, Luellen, Larry, and her twin brother Joe.
In her passing, Judy leaves behind her loving daughters, Pam Morgan-Bates (Mick Bates) and Kim Lindstedt (Kevin). She was a source of love and support to her grandchildren. Abi Lindstedt (Julie), Mallory Lindstedt, Callan Bates, Mikeal Bates, Clare Bates, and Allison Bates.
Judy worked for 25 years at Brummitt Elementary school as the school secretary. She enjoyed her working relationship with her co-workers and looked forward to each new school year to see the students and their families. Outside of work, she liked to study the Bible and LOVED ice cream.
Viewing for Judy will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST, on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2050 W 1100 N, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. The funeral service will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM CST, with viewing preceding the service at the same venue. Internment will be at Chesterton cemetery with a luncheon following afterwords at the church. Her life will be celebrated with affectionate remembrance, honoring her enduring legacy.
While Judy's physical presence will be missed, her spirit lives on in the love and memories she has left behind. Her life story is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the enduring bond of family.
