It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, Judith Kay (Hawkins) Curtis. Judy passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was born August 25, 1950 to Lawrence and Viola(Smith) Hawkins. Judy is survived by her children Stacy (Brad)King, Sondra (Jeff Halsey) Michiaels, Melissa (Christopher) Smith; her beloved grandchildren Alex (Mattison Chayhitz) Michiaels, C.J. (Rain Walker) Smith, David King, Kaylee (Tanner Goodwin) Smith, Gracie Smith, Blake Michiaels and great grand daughter Estella Smith. Also surviving is her brother Lawrence Hawkins II and many other family she cherished. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ricky Hawkins as well as several family members.
Judy was a graduate of Morgan Township High School and worked as an Insurance Specialist most of her life. She was an avid baker, cook, gardener and caretaker but mostly a wonderful mom. Judy was the most selfless person that cared so deeply for her parents, children, and grandchildren. Her many acts of sacrifice and love will forever be held in our hearts. There will be a private burial for immediate family at Adams Cemetery in Morgan Township.
