Leona Mae Dishman, 80 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018. Leona was born January 5, 1938 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Chet and Ruby (Tucker) Henderson. She was a receptionist at Von Tobel’s for 30-40 years. Surviving are her son, Terry Porter, stepdaughter, Lori James, 3 granddaughters, Renee, Chrystle and Andrena, her mother Ruby Henderson of Indianapolis, 3 brothers, David (Jeanette) Metcalf, Don (Barb) Metcalf and Dan (Brenda) Metcalf, 2 sisters, Janet (Dave) Schwankee and Joanne Hepner and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Dishman, Sr. her sons Steven Dishman and Garry Porter and her father Chet Henderson. Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church.
