Mathew A. Shupe

Mathew A. Shupe, 17 passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020. He was born June 23, 2002 in Portage, the son of Albert (Christine) Shupe, Jr. and Tammy (Jacobs) Erwin. Mathew graduated from Boone Grove High School and was a bagger at Wiseway in Winfield. Surviving are his parents, siblings, Coryna Vargas, Magdelin Metheny and Zachary Erwin his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Jacobs, his paternal, grandparents, Albert Shupe, Sr. and Vivian Shupe. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David R. Jacobs. Mathew had a love for music and liked to dance… Mathew also had a love for animals, especially dogs. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Visitation will be Monday, May 4, 2020, 3-7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Pastor Jim Norris officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Memorial Donations may be made to the Boy Scouts or the Porter County Animal Shelter.
