Patricia A. “Patti” Dodson, 83 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. She was born October 8, 1940 in Chicago, the daughter of William and Vera (Bivens) Diggin. Patti was the owner and operator of a cleaning business. She was a crafter and enjoyed playing Bunco and had an extensive Coke-Cola collection. Patti had a lifelong love of science and especially enjoyed learning about astronomy. Her favorite holiday was Christmas Eve, staying up watching movies, playing games and spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughters, Valerie (Ronald) Vasilopulos of Lowell and Nicole (Steven Kral) Dodson of Valparaiso, and a sister Michelle Tomczak of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and a sister Billie Ray Parkinson. There will be no services. Donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or donor’s choice.
