Richard V. Kuehl

Richard V. Kuehl, 87 of Chesterton, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. He was born February 22, 1935 in Valparaiso, the son of Vernon and Margaret (Dibkey) Kuehl. Richard was a laborer with Indiana General, Kane Magnetics and Magnequench, he worked for over 51 years in Valparaiso and worked 9 years after for Talltree Estates. On September 28, 1963, he married Pauline J. Egelske, who survives. Also surviving is his son, Michael Sobkowiak of Merrillville, daughters, Janet (Tim) Klinedinst of Westville and Donna Mann of LaPorte, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and brothers Ronald Kuehl, Roger Kuehl, Russell Kuehl and Randall Kuehl. He played golf for over 43 years, enjoyed gardening and was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Michigan City. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022, 3-7 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. Funeral Services will be Friday, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, Rev. Rich Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Heart to Heart Hospice in Valparaiso.
