Richard Strahm

Richard K. Strahm, 91, of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021.  He was born on January 10, 1930, to Orlo and Florence (Miller), who both preceded him in death.  On December 11, 1952, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, he married the love of his life, Jeannine I. Marks, who preceded him in death.  Richard was a pastor for much of his life, serving at South Lake Nazarene Church, South Haven Nazarene Church and Friends Church.  He spent a considerable amount of his time doing the thing he loved, bible studies, especially at McDonalds.  Richard is survived by his son David (Charlotte) Strahm of LaPorte, 2 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Bessegato.  A visitation for Richard will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso.  The service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Terry Day officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested flowers to Asera Care Hospice or First Light Home Health Valparaiso.
