Terry L. (Nasby) Blaschke

Terry L. Blaschke, 72, of Chesterton, Passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of her loving family, on Friday, April, 05th, 2024.  Terry was born to Robert H. Nasby and Reva J. (Fellows) Nasby, on May 30th, 1951, in Gary, IN.   Terry was preceded in death by her grandparents Howard and Bertha Nasby and Frank and Adelaide Fellows; and good friend Jane Woodruff.  Terry earned her bachelor’s degree From Indiana University in English Education before earning her master’s degree from Purdue University.  Terry worked at Purdue University North Central as an administrative Professor and Secretary.  She was a member of the Christian faith and attended Liberty Bible Church.  Terry was also a member of the National Council of Teachers of English; a member of the American Association of University Women; Campus Support Staff Advisory Committee @ Purdue North Central.  Terry enjoyed traveling, reading, walking, dancing, and yoga.  She married the love of her life, Lawrence Blaschke, on July 29, 1995 in Hobart, IN who survives her.  Terry is also survived by her two children, Matthew (Lori) Blaschke of Valparaiso, Bryan (Ty) Blaschke of Middlebury, IN; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her Sister, Robin (Henk) vander Merwe, of Denton, TX, Sister in law, Lois Jackson of Burns Harbor, IN. There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 13th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.  Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home.  A graveside service will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Valparaiso, IN. Chaplain Pat Ciupek presiding.  Please make memorial donations out to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.  Bartholomew Funeral Home is entrusted with handling the funeral arrangements.
