Virginia R. (Solmos) Douglass

Virginia R. Douglass, 92 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021. She was born October 29, 1928 in Kingsbury, IN. the daughter of Louis and Marie (Marhoffer) Solmos. On August 13, 1949 in St. Paul Catholic Church, she married William Douglass, who preceded her in death June 24, 2005. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, attended the Banta Center in Valparaiso and enjoyed playing pinochle. Surviving are her sons, Daniel (Mary) Douglass of Wisconsin and William Douglass, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI, grandchildren, Tiffany (Eric) Barnet and Jeff (Romi) Douglass, great grandchildren, Ethan, Annabeth and Aidan Barnet and Mikela and Jasper Douglass and her sister Marie Watts of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother’s, Louie, Bob, Walter and John and her sister, Alice Stricker. Private family services are being held. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
