Vivian Jean Shupe 76, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was born August 14, 1945 in Chesterton to Ray and Adeline (Gaekle) Stevens. On October 29, 1964, she married Albert Shupe Sr. who survives. She is also survived by her children Audria Shupe of New Buffalo, Michigan, Brenda (Dwayne) Reynolds of London, Kentucky, and Albert (Christina) Shupe, Jr. of Valparaiso; grandchildren Tabbatha, Mindy, Jeremy, Dustin, and Shawn; great grandchildren, Keaton, Eathan, Jaiden, Maison, Carsen, Luke, Liam and baby Logan, her sister Carole Phillips of Chesterton and her brother Norbert Milzarek of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Mathew Shupe and sisters Rita and Joan. Vivian was a former phone operator many years ago and worked at Walgreens , Boone Grove High School, and in the laundry department at Porter Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Boone Grove Christian Church, Moose Lodge #1357, and was involved with Project Care for the Elderly. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 23rd with Pastor Rich Schmidt officiating at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. in Valparaiso. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso. Memorials can be made to the Boone Grove Christian Church.
