Renee Lynn Tomerlin, 42 of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016.  She was born June 3, 1974 in Valparaiso to Philip O. and Karen D. (Reder) Tomerlin.  Renee is survived by her parents of Michigan City, her brothers Craig (Rebecca) Tomerlin and Keith Tomerlin, her nephew Oscar Tomerlin, her uncles Ed (Marsha) Tomerlin, Mike (Sheryl) Tomerlin, George (Peggy) Hudak, Terry (Rita) Reder, Paul (Jan) Gosser,  her aunts Marge and Avonne Tomerlin and numerous cousins and friends.  Preceding her in death are her paternal grandparents Oscar and Gertrude Tomerlin and maternal grandparents Jack Reder and Virginia Reder (Ferry) as well as other aunts and uncles.  Renee was a manager at a group home for autistic adults.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 10th at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. in Valparaiso. Pastor Michael Eddy officiating.  Visitation will be from 4-8 Pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer.
