Wanda L. Soliday Claussen, 87, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the V.N.A. Hospice Center. She was born August 5, 1929 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Casius E. and Blanche E. (Scherrick) Soliday. On July 1, 1950 in Valparaiso, she married Louis Claussen, Jr. who preceded her in death, March 6, 2000. Surviving is her son Jack (Kathy) Claussen of South Haven, her daughter Lois Claussen of Valparaiso and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Paula E. Carpenter, her parents, brothers, Leonard Soliday and James Soliday and her sisters, Verna Fifield and Verla Wilson. Wanda was a loving mother and wife and was always a very peaceful person. A Private Service will be held at Graceland Cemetery Mausoleum, with entombment to follow services. Memorial Donations may be made to V.N.A. Hospice Center, 2401 Valley Drive, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
