Yvonne May Boren, 93 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016. She was born February 18, 1923 in Goshen, Indiana the daughter of Chaunecy and Susie (Groudcok) Wagoner. Yvonne was a homemaker, a volunteer for the U.S.O. and loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Surviving are her children, Nancy L. Sommers and Owen Boren both of Valparaiso and a sister Norma Vogel of Kouts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Boren, and her 2 sons, Alfred J. (Janis) Boren and Michael E.(Connie) Boren. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00PM. Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
