John Phillip Klipstine, II, 61 of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Valparaiso Care and Rehab Center from a glioblastoma brain tumor. He was born February 21, 1956 in Sidney, Ohio, the only child of John Phillip and Mary Ann (Jenkins) Klipstine I. John graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1974 and graduated from Ball State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. John was an announcer with the Monticello Radio Station. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and stepmother Mary Ann (Benjamin) Klipstine. He is survived by his current, devoted stepmother, Ann (McWhorter) Klipstine, many cousins and special friend Scott Vail. John (like his loving father) loved to travel. He rode the bus to many cities in the United States throughout his life. John would like people to remember him as a kind and caring man that would help anyone in need. In lieu of flowers/memorials, it would make John happy if people would do something to make a difference in a person’s life; to make their lives better—be it a smile or hug. Per John’s wishes there will be a Private Funeral Service held. Bartholomew Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
